Today's World

In today's world, most of us are preoccupied with the strife of day in and day out mediocrity. We see the good, we see the evil, and we all feel somewhat afraid and stuck in between that never ending battle that seems to harmonize our everyday. The world is filled with news of great tragedy that seems to race aside with news of wonderful happiness. Yet I digress, the world is not perfect and as it's inhabitors, we are not perfect either.

Still, that is no reason not to feel, not to be overwhelmed with any emotions. We are defined as individuals because we have the capacity among all of God's creations, to have sympathy, compassion, and even anger. But, even though we may be defined by emotions, it's our actions that give us our salvation or our sin. What we do in this life defines who we were before the eons of ancestors who came before us and the eons of descendants we leave behind.

Today realize that your every breath, your every word, your every action, makes your ancestors proud and your children happy. Make sure that no matter what you do today, you did your part to fight tyranny, to fight oppression, to fight for the weak, to be the voice for all those who need a voice. Be someone today who gave a damn, and showed liars and thieves, that they will have to fight to steal and corrupt.

In TODAY'S WORLD there is someone who needs you...
be there and make everyone proud.

The last thing we need to do is rob our past of a future and rob our children of a chance to be happy.
